Defend

The Center for Juvenile Justice (CJJ) is an non-profit organization which provides free legal defense to indigent youth accused of crimes and status offenses.  CJJ will employ a holistic approach to representation to include collaboration with the family, probation, police, courts, agencies involved with youth and the community.

Advocate

CJJ advocates for children in the courtroom, the classroom and in the community.  CJJ will advocate to keep children at home and out of detention.  CJJ will advocate for the juvenile justice system to rehabilitate children as it was originally intended.

Educate

CJJ educates law students utilizing a clinical format to include a classroom component, simulations and supervised legal practice.  CJJ sponsors and presents workshops and training seminars to educate the legal community practicing juvenile defense.

The Center will be serving the Denver-Metro area in Colorado and will expand as the need demands.  The Center will serve the indigent youth in our community by providing legal counsel, free or low cost/slow pay representation in delinquency courts (and municpal courts) for those who cannot afford to pay an attorney and are deemed ineligible for appointed counsel.

If you or someone you know is interested in colloborating with the Center to provide services to the kids at risk and those whom are in the criminal justice system, please contact us!
